Thank you for welcoming us to Louisiana, the community of Slidell, and New Orleans. We had a wonderfully transforming experience. I am truly blessed to have been a part this organization. In 2012 or 2013, my brother came here and he loved the trip. 4-5 years later, I have been to 4 trips before this one. I will say this is one of the best trips I’ve been on. I’m grateful for everything I have in Cleveland and came here and was deeply saddened to see how much this part of Louisiana has been affected by tornadoes, hurricanes, etc. Thank you for softening my heart and getting me closer to God. We have safely returned home humbled and in awe at the enormity of the work that remains and grateful for our United Methodist connection and the commitment of your staff in meeting the needs of the “least, last and lost.” A number of our teams members discussed the desire to return to Slidell with a team of their own. – Ruth
